What Makes A Landscape Painting Beautiful

By Steven King

Art is one of the many things that helped every aspect of this planet develop over the time. Sometimes or mostly, it is used as a form of storytelling which is significant for each living man to know how his world and everything around him were molded. There are different types of expressing experiences. It could be through acting, writing, making poems, singing, or even painting.

Yet, a lot of the first men used drawing to create an illustration of what they had in mind that could result it legendary masterpieces. It really shows that the best way to depict the environment is through landscape painting. This is the reflection of what an person sees with his eyes.

Some may wonder why this type of illustration is preferable when illustrating the environment compared to portrait. This is because it always is greater in width which is a close reflection of the point of view of a human. Most individuals do not look at their surroundings from up to down. Rather, exploring the land by panning their heads for side to side.

Drawing in landscapes is most of the time a preference to artists because the imagination of a person with this technique is unlimited. Compared to landscape, illustrating in portrait is usually used to paint the upper part of the body. Although an artist is free to apply both forms, portrait paintings for scenery is not that satisfying.

Panorama illustration can teach an artist everything he needs to know about natural colors. The nature can provide so much on the creative side. From trees, lakes, rivers, to mountains, the number of subject matters that can be painted is infinite which is out of the alternatives of an artist. From day to night, the light changes in a beautiful way. This provides the artist the confidence to paint the objects.

Art is a freedom of expression. That is why an artist is not obliged to paint all the specific things in landscape. Depicting his surroundings can be done in so many ways. If being realistic with the craft is a burden, then an artist can always explore different styles like an abstract drawing that can be filled with significant stories.

Scenery illustration for instance. The number of options that could be used will inflict the artist stress and pressure while the light of the day is constantly changing. He can draw the things as simple as he wants because it was never necessary to draw a perfect view. If the illustration tells a story and is shaded with proper colors, then that is art.

This could also be evident today that landscape art was widely used centuries ago. Some are now placed in several national museums and some are sold at a very steep price. It will always be the best way to describe the beauties of this planet.

However, whether it is landscape, portrait or other kinds of paintings, they are as priceless as any other art on earth. They are handmade by the people who extract every last drop of their sweat and creativity just to share the wonders they have seen in this world. No machine in this time could top its value.
